Capital Gains Tax reduced!

Good news for non-residents of Spain: The Capital Gains Tax (CGT) has now been reduced from 35% to 18%. This reduction applies only for non-residents selling their Spanish property, which will probably induce into an even greater attraction of foreign investors to the Spanish real estate market.

It was thanks to the EC that Spain was forced to change this rule, as Spain was actually discriminating non-residents. At the same time the resident tax was increased by 3%, to have one same rule for all.
