winter review

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

After a slow start in november and december sales started picking up again and sellers and buyers were happy with the deals we made for them.

The El Duque area is a very popular place to own a property as it is in the best situated place in the island, though it is not easy to find the right property because there are only a few private complexes between all the 5 star hotels like Bahia Del Duque, Gran Tacande, Costa Adeje Gran Hotel and Vincci Hotel. But when people see the quality of Las Terrazas del Duque and El Duque complexes they always decide that this is the place to be!

If we cannot find the property in the El Duque - Fañabé area we can always offer several new off plan developments in Palm-Mar. Here you can find property for real value for money. The sales in Las Terrazas del Faro went well and also the new developments Jardines del Palm-Mar, Fuente de Palm-Mar and Villas Del Palm-Mar were sold well.

Now spring is starting and a lot of people will arrive to enjoy this lovely time on Tenerife and looking to find their perfect property.

Works on the coast of Palm-Mar have really started now!! Everybody looking forward to the outcome…

Het ronde punt aan Guaza wordt verbeterd…

Tuesday, February 20th, 2007

AT LAST: The Junction at Guaza roundabout!

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

The access of Palm-Mar will undergo a drastic change in short! After enduring traffic problems of all sorts to get to Palm-Mar, the Council of Arona has now officially announced the start of a new entrance from the junction at Guaza towards Palm-Mar and surrounding towns. The access will be built in a Spanish Rambla style, and will look a lot like the new access road towards Los Cristianos’ Centre…Hurrah for the Council :)!

Now we only need public bus service and then travelling to and fro Palm-Mar will be extra smooth…

Palm-Mar’s coast is about to take wing!

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

The permission for the beach project from the Coastal Department has been obtained by Town Hall Arona, and this at no cost for the local tax payers!

The works should start asap, and be finished by next summer! The plans are to create a “rural beach in keeping with its setting” and as nothing can be removed nor can they undertake big action, that the larger rocks and pebbles will be drawn to one side to be turned into a black sandy beach, and allowing an area with space to safely let the children play.

The beach walk at Palm-Mar.

The great advantage of Palm-Mar is it being exclusive and residential, the buildings are all of high quality and there is no crazy building going on as in other areas. The area is cupped in between 2 natural protected areas, there is a park, the entire town centre has been finished, there is a wonderful beach walk, and there are more plans like a 13.000m² luxury sport’s centre.

As even the Councillors of Arona’s Town Hall say: “Now is the time to buy property in Palm-Mar, “before prices go soar”!!”

Long term rentals in Costa Adeje and Palm-Mar, Tenerife

Friday, January 12th, 2007

At Second Home we have a wide selection of apartment rentals available in the fashionable area of Playa del Duque, Costa Adeje, Tenerife as well as in the new residential resort of Palm-Mar. If you are looking to purchase property in Tenerife - an apartment rental could be used as an interim measure until you find your dream home or alternatively you may be looking for luxury holiday accommodation. Whatever your rationale for visiting Tenerife, apartment rental is one item you will not have to worry about with Second Home. We will find you a gorgeous apartment and all you need to think about is which beach you are going to lie on to soak up the sun.

In Tenerife, apartment rentals close to the Playa del Duque beach command stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.  The beach with fine yellow sand and calm waters is 700 metres long by an average of 25 metres wide. The beach is popular with holiday makers and possesses excellent facilities including surveillance and security (Local Police and Red Cross post), shower and changing-rooms, toilets and rental services for sunshades and deck-chairs. There is a commercial centre with designer shops and a supermarket very close to the beach.

Tenerife is one of the fortunate islands blessed with a near perfect sunny climate and magnificent landscapes which makes Tenerife a magnet for millions of holiday makers each year.

The sub-tropical climate of Tenerife is lessened by the cooling Trade Winds and the warm waters of the Gulf Stream. The result is a place where average temperatures range between 18C and 24C and the sea is a joy to swim in at any time of the year.

The climate makes the island a popular destination with golfers; many golfers choose Tenerife apartment rentals in Playa del Duque because of the proximity to both Golf Costa Adeje and Golf Las Americas.

Some extra info about these golf resorts:

Golf Costa Adeje
Well sign posted if you have rented a car, but only a short taxi drive from your apartment rental. Golf Costa Adeje is a par 72 course, designed by Jose Gancedo back in 1998.
The par-72 Costa Adeje Golf played host to the PGA Spanish Open of 2003, but do not let this deter you, the 6,244 metre-long championship course is player-friendly, meaning the fairways are wide and well manicured.

Golf Las Americas
Opened in the same year, March, Golf Las Americas hosted the European LPGA Tours Tenerife Ladies Open in 2003. It is a 6,039 metres long, par-72 course and was designed by John Jacobs Golf Associates Ltd.
