On the 1^st February we should TURN OFF ALL LIGHTS from 19h55 till 20h00. (7h55pm till 8h00pm, On Canary Islands: from 6h55pm till 7h00pm)

Action against the climate changes. Participate on the 1^st February with the biggest mobilisation of citizens against the changes in our climate! The French group of environmental organisations alliance pour la planete has called all citizens to GRANT THE PLANET A 5 MINUTES BREAK! We ask you to turn off all the lights on 1^st February, between 7h55pm and 8h00pm (Canary Islands from 6h55pm till 19h00pm). This is not about saving 5 minutes energy that day, but to draw the attention of all citizens, the media as well as the politicians, to the energy waste and the necessity of doing something before it is too late. During 5 minutes the planet will be given a break, it will not take long and will not cost you anything. It will also make clear to politicians and all candidates for the parliamentary elections of June 2007 that the changes in the climate need to be taken in account! Why did we pick 1^st February? Because the day after the new report made by climatological experts from UN will be presented in Paris. This taking place in a neighbouring country, we should also try to draw the attention to the urgent matter of taking care of our planet, and if we all unify our forces and do this, this action will represent us and will have both political influence as well as influence the media. Please forward this email, add the message in your newsletters and your blogs… and don’t forget to switch off your lights on 1^st February!

L Alliance pour la Planete lance un appel simple tous les citoyens, 5 minutes de repit pour la planete : tout le monde eteint ses veilles et lumieres le 1er fevrier 2007 entre 19h55 et 20h00 (Aux Iles Canaries entre 18h55 et 19h00). Il ne s agit pas d economiser 5 minutes d electricite, uniquement ce jour la , mais d attirer l attention des citoyens, des medias et des decideurs sur le gaspillage d energie et lurgence de passer l action ! 5 minutes de repit pour la planete : ca ne prend pas longtemps, ca ne coute rien, et ca montrera aux candidats la Presidentielle que le changement climatique est un sujet qui doit peser dans le debat politique.

Pourquoi le 1er fevrier ? Car le lendemain sortira, Paris, le nouveau rapport du groupe d experts intergouvernemental sur l evolution du Climat (GIEC) des Nations Unies. Cet evenement aura lieu en France : il ne faut pas laisser passer cette occasion de braquer les projecteurs sur l urgence de la situation climatique mondiale.

Si nous y participons tous, cette action aura un reel poids mediatique et politique, moins de trois mois avant l election presidentielle!

Faites circuler au maximum cet appel autour de vous et dans tous vos reseaux ! Faites le egalement apparaitre sur votre site Internet et dans vos newsletters.

ACTIE tegen de klimaatsverandering.Neem op 1 februari 2007 deel aan de grootste mobilisatie van de burgers tegen de klimaatsverandering! L’Alliance pour la Planete (groepering van milieuverenigingen) doet een oproep aan allen:
Gun de planeet 5 minuten rust! Iedereen wordt verzocht alle lichten te doven op 1 februari as, van 19u55 tot 20.00u  (Op de Canarische eilanden van 18h55 tot 19h00). Het gaat er niet om enkel die dag gedurende 5 minuten energie te besparen, maar wel om de aandacht van de burgers, de media en tevens de politieke besluitvormers te vestigen op de energieverspilling en op de noodzaak om dringend iets te ondernemen! Gedurende 5 minuutjes zal de planeet kunnen uitrusten: dat duurt echt niet lang en het kost niets. En het zal de politici en kandidaten voor de parlementaire verkiezingen van juni 2007 duidelijk maken dat de klimaatverandering een onderwerp uitmaakt dat weegt in het politieke debat. En waarom op 1 februari 2007?
Omdat die dag in Parijs het nieuwe rapport van de klimatologische experten van de Verenigde Naties uitkomt. En dat gebeurt bij onze buren! Wij kunnen dus onmogelijk deze kans laten voorbijgaan en moeten bijgevolg de schijnwerpers richten op de dringende aard van ’s werelds klimatologische situatie. Als we allen deelnemen zal deze actie werkelijk een mediatieke en politieke invloed hebben, en dit enkele maanden voor de verkiezingen!Laat dit bericht zoveel mogelijk circuleren, stuur het zoveel mogelijk door, ook naar lokale politici; vermeld het in Newsletters, op je Internetsite of blog …

Golf Costa Adeje
Well sign posted if you have rented a car, but only a short taxi drive from your apartment rental. Golf Costa Adeje is a par 72 course, designed by Jose Gancedo back in 1998.
The par-72 Costa Adeje Golf played host to the PGA Spanish Open of 2003, but do not let this deter you, the 6,244 metre-long championship course is player-friendly, meaning the fairways are wide and well manicured.

Golf Las Americas
Opened in the same year, March, Golf Las Americas hosted the European LPGA Tours Tenerife Ladies Open in 2003. It is a 6,039 metres long, par-72 course and was designed by John Jacobs Golf Associates Ltd.
